A change, a different perspective

A very good afternoon everyone!!

Okay that's a very ugly art because I have no inspiration at the moment...
Put that aside, HAPPY DEEPAVALI TO MY FELLOW SINGAPOREANS!!
Yay another public holiday for me hehehe.

If you notice (actually it's very hard not to), I've changed my blog header. :D
Yup I changed my hairstyle; dyed it jet black and cut my hair & fringe.
Actually, I don't intend to cut bangs, I wanted it to be touching my nose but the amateur hair cutter (yes I said hair cutter because I truly thinks she is just someone who CUTS HAIR) THOUGHT I WANTED BANGS WHEN I SAID I WANNA CUT STRAIGHT.
I specifically pointed the length on my face. =_= oh well, just gonna wait for it to grow long.

I added some details to my portrait like my mole and my piercing scars (they're not pimples, please).
Changed the colour of my braces band too!
I wanna depict it to be as real as possible.

Ever since the 1-to-1 talk with my Boss, I look at life differently.
I am changing to be more positive, be happier and smiling more.
I start by talking to myself in the mirror before I left the house ('today is gonna be a good day! You will be happy today! Work will be great, you will smile at strangers. Do not overthink!') and sniffing lemon.
He said a whiff of lemons helps to improve your mood, scientifically. It's true! Don't believe me? Google it :D
Hopefully I can do this long-term :)

I'll be meeting my poly friends later for dinner! Can't wait to see them! Ever since internship started, we were all so busy with our work, we can't meet up.
Sure, we did plan dinner after work but for some of them, they have so much work that they had to OT.
Today we will be eating at Jinjja Chicken !!
I have been craving for Chicken Up lately because their chicken is soooo good!!
But if you wanna go, go to the outlet in Tanjong Pagar, not Jurong East. The standard in JE is so different and lower than that of Tanjong Pagar.
Still, I can't wait to try this new Korean Chicken cafe in town!!! :D
Pardon me, I'm gonna go cook my Korean cheese ramen for lunch. :P

Hair transformation at J7Image

Hi everyone!! My posts seem to be less active as compared to last year huh?
I resolve to update punctually! I actually have 2 event posts waiting but it was so long ago so I thought I should scrap it..
This school term for me is passing so fast (Year 2, Semester 2, Term 2). I start school this month & I'll have my tests & exams next month. Test week before Chinese New Year & exam week after CNY. WHAT a bummer. WHAT.
I hope to cope well & balance with whatever I have on my hands: my school projects/tutorials, my part-time work, my revision, my leisure time.

So this post is something different, it's not an event or a milestone or what I usually blog.
My first post of the year (which is pretty late) is an experience/review entry.
I got tired of my long hair to the point where I find it disgusting (is the word too strong?), okay maybe ugly, that I just want to chop it off.
CHOP, CHOP, CHOP IT OFF!!!
I want to go for a short look, but with a style. I don't wanna go to just any hair salon & let them handle my hair, I don't want just a simple short hairstyle (read: bob, concave, layer, straight).
I don't mind spending money for a skilled hair stylist to deal with my hair, so after my research I find J7Image to be the most suitable salon for me. Their website shows their creation & I was impressed!
So I made my way down to the salon in Far East Plaza. It was rather hard to find because the salon is in one corner...
When I entered the salon, I was greeted by the hair artist, who asked me any preferred stylist to cut my hair.
Well, it's my first time there so I said no. So the salon manager serviced me. :)
I told him what I wanted: 'short hair, roughly shoulder length(?), but I don't know what style, could you help me?'
Basically I said more than that, to summarise in 2 words: Surprise me.
He then analyse my hair & told me his idea of cutting, which I am really easy-going at whatever he suggested. I'm like, 'oh okay, sure!'
Andy, the salon manager & artist who handled my hair, asked me if I wanted a drink, so yeah, tea please! :)
& so he begin to snip my hair...

BEFORE: My hair length
BEFORE: Look at that - flat and frizzy.
Andy was big-eyed when I told him my desire. The other artist beside me had the same sentiments as Andy: New year, new look, new hairstyle.
Sort of like cut away the past & worries, I guess hahhahaa.

The interior of the salon was really comfortable. The mirrors are long & simple, I could see the reflections of whatever is behind I. There is no bright lights in front of me that could blind me. The counter in front of me is within reach so I can easily get my phone or drink my tea.
There wasn't very strong smell of a typical hair salon; alkaline chemicals? Nope.
Which was really pleasant. The hairdressers look professional, which gave me a sense of relief hah.

Say bye bye to my long hair
Took my camera out to play
That's my hair stylist Andy over there
Snip snip
The length, can you tell?
Halfway through Andy asked me if I'm hungry, to which I replied no because I have 5 slices of pizzas earlier on during my class outing (actually also not outing lah we just ordered pizzas & have it in school).
Am I greedy? Nope, I certainly think not.
Service was good! We had small chit-chats in between so I felt better. :)

90% done!
It's suppose to be 1 side short another side longer
Andy styled my hair like this, and he further added, 'I got an idea. I'll highlight some parts of your hair at the front, but it will be hidden underneath some hair'.
So I went, 'mm okay'.
He said red will be the colour, so red it is!

Andy in action!
Dum dum dum~
Look at that paste!! I can't wait for the results
My hair has foils
'Please let it turn out nice'
A football-like machine, which I find pretty cool, produces hot air to my hair. Heh.

Time to wash it off!
It was soooooooo shiok when Andy massage my hair/scalp. It felt so damn good!
And the shampoo smell has a nice fragrance~
After the wash was done, Andy tricked me saying that the colour didn't come out, it wasn't very bright. I almost bought it, ALMOST, but I remain my composure. Then I found out he was playing. I don't know how to react man, thank goodness I was sharp (am I self-praising?).
Blow drying my hair is my 2nd favourite part of visiting a hair salon, I don't know why I just like it. :P

Andy doing some touch ups
I love how it turned out!!
 The AFTER results...

Honest feelings: I didn't expect it to be THAT short but I leave my hair to the hands of a professional, so overall I am very satisfied with my current hair now!!
Andy also say I can pin up my fringe to reveal more red highlights, or let it down naturally to give a subtle look.  我喜欢!
Cut + highlight + blow & dry all done under $100!!
The service is good, skills like a professional, furthermore the brand have won awards! Definitely will visit again, Actually I will because I became a member ;P.
Thank you Andy again for the styling! :D

After cutting my hair, I went to meet Eve. We had lunch in 313 and catch-up with each other.
Day with her is never a boring day ;)

The only decent picture hehe

Ended my day well, so I'm happy! :D
Last time my hair salon is located at Bukit Gombak, I always go there to cut my hair.
But I think now I know which salon I shall return to. :)
Thank you J7Image! :D

Hair Treatment

Good evening readers!
Hahahah I'm back so quickly.
It's just a short post lah.
Okay, I just came home from my scalp treament at D'image!
I was so excited about it! xD
When I reached there, I was confused because the entrance there said 'closed', but the hairdresser inside opened the door and welcome me. ^-^
I was surprised that there was a second floor in the salon, and the moment I enter the room, I feel the relaxing ambience.
The room was lightly dimmed with soothing music playing softly through the speakers.
The consultant did a scalp scan and like the first time, my scalp was clogged with oil and there was one that I scratch until it bled. Gosh.
We proceed to the bed, the lady and professional were very nice and friendly!
They really make sure the customer had 100% comfort while having their treatment.
They gave me cushion and covered my body with blanket, and even served me chrysanthemum tea.

The process was really satisfying - at the beginning the lady applied some really cooling cream on my scalp to
soften the oil clog. The feeling was just SHIOK!
The massage was comfortable too. She even chat with me and the conversation really flows well.
When we washed my hair, I feel so bliss (cheh) and after she done washing, it was time for the after result.
Through the monitor screen I can see all the oil clog were gone!
100% and I was damn happy about it.
But the treatment was not over yet, still need to do one last thing.
After that, I went down to blow dry my hair. And guess what? I have the privilege of having 2 hairstylists to blow
dry my hair. One of them is the manager. Hohohoho.
Okay lah I never had this kind of treatment before okay so let me be in my own world.

I am contented that my scalp is healthier and able to breathe, but the lady say had to do at least 3-4 times of
treatment to really get rid of the bacteria.
But, I am no rich person I am only a student Y.Y
Oh well, at least I'm able to get rid of those nasty germs in my scalp!
^-^

Okay, that's all.
Oh, I wanna show you something cute:

Jumping June

Good morning readers!
Oh my, I haven't been updating my blog, have I?
That's 'cause there's nothing for me to blog about :x
This is the first post of the month! Hahhaha
Actually, it suppose to be yesterday, but... yeah, it's the same reason again - I came home late, too tired to switch on the computer and blog. Sorry!

So, um, yesterday's plan was initially going to Little India to shop with my HEGxD (Hasz, Eve, Gaayathri, Xiaoyu, Darlene. Try pronouncing it. 'Hey-gag-si-de')
But due to some problems we're unable to continue with the plan :(
So Eve decided to just carry on heading out with just me and her.

The first stop is Ion Orchard.
She bought sweets in Daiso and finding for mask there, but she didn't buy the mask in the end.
As we walk further, we spotted a sale, and it was actually a very expensive shop sale.
The one that sell DC Comics apparels, THEY ARE HAVING HUGE SALE!
Oh no wonder, it's the GSS period, until 22 July.
The clothes there are too awesome, I actually texted my bro about the sale but when I reached home I realised I sent it to my younger brother instead. =_=
Too bad then d:

I bought a sleeveless Tweety shirt, I like it a lot! :D
Eve bought the same pattern but hers is t-shirt.
I also bought Serene's birthday present: its a damn cute tee, limited edition!
One and only piece!
Information limited, what if she came into my blog and reads it!
It was so pretty that I thought should I keep it for myself, but, it's for my close friend so nah, gift it to her ;)

I manage to buy things that I need.. so pretty much satisfied with the shopping ^-^
Ooh, and Eve did hair extensions.

Eve and her blue extensions!
The lady was super friendly and sociable! xD
Hehehe

It's clip-on extension, she also bought a red racoon pattern hair extension ;)
When you enter their shop, you can see the wall, floor, everywhere filled with wigs, hair extensions, more wigs and more hair.
You can check out GIRLHAIRDO at their facebook (click click click), and they're having a promotion:
Buy 5 hair extensions and $25 and get 1 free!
They helped you to clip on and trim the suitable hair length for you. ;)
Service is good too.
It's located at Peninsula Shopping Centre, NOT Peninsula Plaza ah, don't get it mixed up.

We also had Everything With Fries, it's my second time eating there, and we tried different flavour.
This time we tried pork chop, you may start to drool:

It doesn't look appetising.. Wrong angle argh!
Shot taken by Eve. She called it 'artistic'. Gosh.
We actually wanted to drop by at The Salvation Army, but it was getting late so we just hop to Bugis Street since it was near Bugis Junction.
There, I bought my bag. ^-^ Happy happy!

I just came back from KKH, so after this I'm going to start revising on my POA.
Then I'll head out to CWP for movie with Jiejie ^^
See you soon, will update, umm, either tomorrow or Friday ;)
