Cong's 19

Hey I'm back!!!
Hahahah it's been only a day since my last update. xD
As you can guess from the title, it's Ying Cong's birthday surprise!
His birthday is on 21 January, but we gave him a surprise on the 24th.
It was a simple surprise: buying a cake and deliver it to his house without him knowing.
Fian lied to him by jio-ing him to play pool, at 11pm. Hahaha 11pm??
Cong then told him that he can go have dinner with his classmates first, that's when Fian panicked & said, 'no no no eat at home'.

It was kinda messy because we meet later than the agreed time. Poor Serene reached on time at CWP so I called her over to my house.
When was the last time I see her...
She's that kind of good & close friend, when we didn't meet often but when we see each other, we don't feel weird or awkward. In fact, we blabber on each other.
We update on each other and talked like, non-stop. She's someone who I'm very comfortable with ♥ (I hope you cry when you read this you bitch)
So we stayed till it's time and headed to CWP to buy a cake for Cong.
Fian, Eve & Jiahong met us and we're off to Cong's house!

He was shocked to see us with the birthday cake xD
Thank goodness we bought a small cake that is enough to feed us all + his mother.

We had a very long chat in his house.
Serene haven't been seeing us for a long time (not in years but yah) so she started a 'who changed the most' convo topic.
In terms of personality lah, not looks. But I think it's hard for someone to change?
Unless he/she experience something devastating or mix with bad company or some sort?
Oh goodness I need to be more philosophical I want to know the study of humans.
Wafir joined us after we cut the cake.. He arrived in his fixie and sang the Chinese version of 'Happy Birthday' in slow-mo. We replied back in a China accent, 'who's that? Wrong house! Go away!'
Ahhh.. I love this gang.

So it was getting quite late for some of us, so Eve & Wafir went home, while Fian, Cong, Jiahong & I sent Serene off to the MRT station.

After Serene left, the 4 of us went to grab supper at Woodlands Checkpoint.
It was a simple supper with the guys!

Carpenters outing + gang outing

Wassup yo!
My my, it's the last week of my term break. School's starting next week.
Do I look forward to it or do I not?
Doesn't matter, enjoy first.

Yesterday I went for the Carpenters outing, which is my group during the BP Mentoring FOC.
We had lunch at Eighteen Chefs but only 9 of us turned up.. :(
The food there.. I would say I don't really like what I ordered.
I ordered cheese baked rice + creamy white base.
Guess it wasn't a very good combination because well, cheese is already creamy so it's like a double creamy combo.
I felt sick after eating it, but I would visit there again because of the affordable price!
They offer student price too haha.
There was a movie afterwards but because the movie they watching is too late for me so I didn't join them :(
I wish I could!!
Oh man.

We had a surprise birthday cake for Audrey, & the waiter was kind enough to help us store the cake in their fridge.
Moreover, another waitress (I think she is a chef) came out and offer us plates for the cakes!
She gave us disposable forks too!
Service is too nice already.
So when they left for the movie, Aishah & Ming Wei left first leaving me alone in 313.

Fast-forward, I met up w Serene & Jas!!!!
You don't know how elated I am when I finally saw them.
Soon Fian, Cong & Ryan came. We got the movie tickets to EPIC!

Some parts of the movie are really funny, it's very exciting I would say.
I would rate it 3.5 Greenmen out of 5.

After the movie ended we could totally relate to the outside world.
It was damn hilarious when we walked to Orchard Central.
Settling down for dinner was hard because many restaurants have long queues but we ate at Pastamania :)
We chatted and laughed, proceeded to *scape's Mac and chatted and laughed.
It was a stress-relieve when I hang out with them.
Our (my) lame jokes never fail to liven (damp) the atmosphere, and our non-stop teasing & inside jokes are so making my stomach burst.
We could have stayed longer but due to the haze (fuck the forest fire you assholes) we went home at 11pm++.

Non of our outings are dull. I love my clique. :)

Pardon me guys for the late update!
I couldn't update in time because I have started work and the working hours are from the after till the night :(
So since today is my day off, I woke up extra early to blog! :D
Though, I can blog anytime I want today but I have somewhere to go later in the afternoon!
Will reveal it at a later minute ;)

So as the title describes, my gang and I went to Gardens By The Bay on November 21st, except for Jiahong & Wafir..
Gosh, how long was that?
We were deciding between the Zoo & Gardens By The Bay, but eventually chose GBTB because that period was the Monsoon Season, and it was raining ALMOST everyday. BIG RAIN.
So we don't wanna take the risk of raining halfway while we tour around, neither do we want to bring umbrellas. :x

We bought tickets to 2 conservatories: Flower Dome & Cloud Forest.
Luckily I have Passion Card, it gives us discount ^-^
First we went to the Cloud Forest.
Damn, when we enter the conservatories, cold wind blew into our face!
It was abnormally cold, because the area have to be maintained at a certain temperature suitable for the vegetation to grow.
The first thing we saw was what made me struck with awe:

Then we move on to the Crystal Cave! (It's not really a cave, though)

The Crystal Cave have mirrors on the ceiling. I thought it was to reflect light to the crystals so that it can sparkle and shit, but then Ryan said it could be also to mean that crystals form on the ceiling, so we can visualise how the crystals look.

We were touring around the dome where I spotted something, well, cruel?

Although I have seen this before from Singaporeans.
Moving on.

We went into a theatre called '+5°C'.
It shows us how the Earth is gradually getting hotter and hotter, because of human activities and partly animals' doing.
It shows us horrible images of the future if we continue to do what we are doing, instead of getting into actions and prevent all those terrible events from happening.
That is why I emphasize that please recycle & reuse your resources..
Switch off the main plug when not in use, etc.
Sigh..

Fian tried smelling some of the flowers, some are sweet smelling, some... well let's just say it made our nose crinkle.

It was a pleasant & enriching trip.
I think everyone should go there at least once to experience the beauty of nature! Really, you learn a lot of stuff about Mother Earth too.
Your knowledge about the condition of our precious Earth will not be so limited too ^-^
My father said we're going there on New Year's, hopefully he remembers!
